I love a good turkey burger recipe. I have fun with them, and used to try different recipes every few weeks. I went with a jalapeno cheddar-jack flavor this week just because that’s what popped into my head honestly and I already had the cheese at home. Sometimes ideas just come to me, other times I think about it and stress out about it for a couple days. This was one of the better weeks – AND I came in under $40 for the week (though I’ll have to buy eggs mid-week so it’ll push it over that).
Since I haven’t been eating bread I haven’t made any turkey burgers in a long time. So I had a craving and I found my way around the bread thing.
I had it salad-style. I just laid everything on top of a bed of spinach with some grape tomatoes and went to town on it with a fork and knife. It’s just not quite the same as holding the burger in your hand though…
Sweet potato buns – these can be a little messy and you have to have the right size sweet potato. But since my love for those bright orange balls of starch runs deep I deal with the messiness using them as buns can bring.
I want to try some Paleo sandwich rolls but ran out of time/energy yesterday. I’m trying to make myself relax a little more since stress is probably the cause of all of my current problems.
